The major problem with treatment of TB however lies in lack of effective treatment methods. With the emergence of multi-drug resistant (MDR) and extensively-drug resistant (XDR) strains of M. tuberculosis the disease has become a serious concern [3,4]. The alarming increase of MDR-TB cases, therefore, requires a urgent development ofnew, more effective and less toxic side effects with extensive, and potent activity against resistance strains and drugs that will be able to reduce the total duration of treatment [5,6].
